The future is sharing. Conventional business and governance models will soon become obsolete. We call the conventional wisdom “the solid state” or the “1.0″ version of anything. The next version, what we are experiencing today, we call the “fluid” form or “2.0″ version, such as we call today’s internet, web 2.0. We then call the next evolution of everything, the “gas” form or “3.0″ version. Until we get there, which will take a few years, we will experience intermediate solutions and approaches to web sites, business models, industries, goverments, societies and similar.
